CENTENARY, S.C. – Creek Bridge Warriors linebacker Brandon Hellom announced his signing to Community Christian College in Lancaster. Hellom will be joining a newly created football program.

“It was a hard decision but that is where I felt like home was at,” he said.

The four-year varsity player said he plans to continue playing linebacker for the Black Knights.

Hellom said coach Jimmy Vereen was a big help.

“He was the one that actually took me up there to view the campus,” Hellom said.

Hellom led the Warriors with 43 tackles on the season. He will be the last player to sign with a college football program.

“It feels good,” he said, adding that the experience paid off and excited about his teammates now joining the Mullins Auctioneers football team.

“They’re going to do good if they continue to work hard,” he said of his teammates.

Hellom said he had a lot fun playing for the Warriors.

“Every time I stepped on the field, I played like it was my last,” he said. “It really helped me a lot to get to this point. We tried our hardest.”
