MARION, S.C. -- Presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris is making a campaign stop in Marion County for a meet and greet Monday.

Marion County Branch NAACP President Rev. Marvin Hemingway said the event is sponsored by the organization and Marion County Democratic Party.

“As Marion County Branch NAACP President, I am honored and excited to welcome Presidential Candidate Senator Kamala Harris to Marion County and into the city of Marion,” Hemingway said. “It is a blessing to have someone of this capacity in leadership to grace this community with her presence because the small towns deserve the same visits as others and this is very honorable of Sen. Harris.”

The meet and greet will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at City Food & Spirits on 1106 E. Godbolt St. in Marion.

She will also hold a town hall at 12:30 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, with doors opening at noon.
