SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Francisco Pena hit a solo home run in the second inning, leading the Sacramento River Cats to a 5-2 win over the Memphis Redbirds on Thursday.

The home run by Pena gave the River Cats a 1-0 lead.

After Sacramento added three runs in the fourth, the Redbirds cut into the deficit in the sixth inning when Harrison Bader hit a solo home run.

The River Cats tacked on another run in the seventh when Zach Green hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Abiatal Avelino.

Steven Okert (7-1) got the win with a scoreless inning in relief while Memphis starter Genesis Cabrera (4-5) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.

Bader homered and singled, driving home two runs for the Redbirds.
