ASHEBORO, N.C. — Eldridge Fiqueroa went 2 for 5 with a triple and two RBI as Florence fell to Asheboro 8-6 Monday night.

The Redwolves had the bases loaded with one out in the top of ninth but could not get a run in, as Reid Hardwick flied out and Joe Weisenseel grounded out to end the game.

Florence cut the Asheboro lead to 7-6 in the eighth as Michael Richardson singled to score a runner from third.

The Redwolves fell to 1-3 and will host Martinsville at 7 p.m. today at Sparrow Stadium
