HARTSVILLE, S.C. — Sumter scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to defeat Hartsville 6-1 in Game 2 and complete the sweep in the Junior Legion state playoffs Thursday night.

Chapman Parker and Bennett Meadows each had a double to lead Hartsville.

Teammate Ryan Jordan and Rylan Howle each had hit.

Hartsville finished the season at 10-8.

Darlington will host Turbeville in Game 3 of the Junior Legion state playoffs at 6:30 p.m. today.  

Ranse Hatchell led Darlington, going 1 for 2 with two RBI.

Garrett Coker, Ricky Garris, Cub Cook and Blake Lee each had a hit for Turbeville.

LAKE CITY — Jase Stafford scored from second base to break a 5-5 tie in the top of the seventh inning as Chesterfield went on to add two more runs in the inning to defeat Lake City in Game 2 of Junior Legion playoffs.

Hilshon Bailey scored from third on a throwing error to tie the game at 5-5 in the bottom of the sixth inning for Lake City.

Noah Woodard led Chesterfield, going 2 for 2 with two RBI.

Wesley Hanner led Lake City, going 2 for 3 with two RBI.

MANNING— Manning-Santee’s Jake Jordan went 2 for 2, but it wasn’t enough as Lexington won in Game 2 and completed the sweep to advance in Senior Legion state playoffs.

Manning-Santee finished the season at 8-14.

Lexington will travel to Florence in the second round of the Senior Legion playoffs on Monday at TBA.

Teammate Jake Hardee scored from third in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game at 1.

Landon Brown led South Florence Blue, going 2 for 4.

Game 2 is 6 p.m. today at Horry.
