Turbeville's Turner Singletary dives across home plate to score a run during his team's win against Darlington on Friday night.

DARLINGTON, S.C. -- Grant Barrineau singled in the bottom of the ninth inning to score Turner Singletary to give Turbeville's Junior American Legion baseball team a 12-11 victory Friday against Darlington in the deciding game of their first-round state playoff series.

Darlington jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the top of the first. Turbeville, however, took the lead when Colt Gibbons from third to take a 8-7 lead in the bottom of the third.

Darlington's Bryant Dickerson, however, scored from third in the top of the sixth to tie the score at 11.

Singletary led Turbeville, going 3 for 5 with a double and three RBI.

Jacob Adams led Darlington, going 3 for 5 with a double and two RBI.

Darlington finished the season at 9-8.
