MARION, S.C. -- Marion High School's Tariq Nowlin signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Clinton Junior College.
Nowlin, a 6-foot-4 inch guard with three years of experience on the Swamp Foxes varsity team, helped lead the team to a 9-1 region record in their first year back at Class 3A, reaching the third round of the playoffs.
“It’s a blessing to continue my education and play on the next level,” he said. “Thanks to my head coach and my family for the support of making this decision to play at Clinton Junior College.”
Nowlin said he learned a lot during his team with the program.
“It’s been good,” he said. “It teaches how to be a leader and interact with your team. The best moment was just playing the game that I love and just running out to the fans screaming and cheering.”
