Children learn to litter. The parents in Florence county subdivisions are passing their “love” for “litter” and “eyesore” properties to their children, along with a bold disrespect for the property of others.
Candy wrappers, fast food wrappers, paper cups and drink cans (including beer cans) are thrown along the streets and into the yards of others in these subdivisions.
Certainly, these children did not participate in any school litter cleanup programs. Respect is taught at home, as is disrespect. It certainly appears that more disrespect than respect is being taught and learned.
