MARION -- Nelson Eloise Faulk Fowler passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019.She was born on September 12, 1927 to the late David and Buno Faulk. She was predeceased by her husband, Malcolm J. Fowler; sister, Mary McMillan; and brothers, David Faulk, HD Faulk, and Elliott Faulk.Surviving are two daughters, Betty L. Fowler and Nellie Laney (Tommie), 3 grandsons, Jason Bryant (Daphne), Joshua Bryant (Gerber Martinez) and Duncan Bryant (Mary Elizabeth); 3 great-grandchildren, Coleman, Callie and John Malcolm Bryant;; and Robert and Diane White; one sister, Rebecca Thomas; one brother, Stacey Faulk (Eleanor); and nieces and nephews. Nelson was retired from Southern Bell Telephone (AT&T) and Marion School District III.She was a long-time member of Centenary Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Social Chairperson, Secretary and member of Building and Grounds Committee. Nelson had a wit and wisdom that endeared her to all. She befriended many that entered her life and was a loyal friend. She was so proud of the accomplishments that each of her grandsons have obtained. Each of them were a shining light and she always had words of encouragement for them.The family wishes to thank Cheraw Health Care for the kindness and loving care given to Nelson.A service in celebration of her life will be held at Centenary Baptist Church at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 6, 2019. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 PM at the Church. Burial will follow at Cedardale Cemetery.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Centenary Baptist Church, PO Box 333 Centenary, SC 29519.An online register is available at RichardsonFH.net
