DARLINGTON -- William "Bill" Henry Adams, 86, of Darlington died on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. Graveside funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 11 AM at Grove Hill Cemetery, 405 S. Warley Street, Darlington, SC 29532, directed by Kistler Hardee Funeral Home of Darlington. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. Bill was born in Lancaster. He was the son of the late Henry Sowell Adams and Eva Christmas Adams. Bill served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, St. David's Masonic Lodge number 72, Shriners Red Fez Club and Jolly Jeepsters. Bill was an avid fisherman, golfer and enjoyed working in his yard. Surviving are his wife, Martha Gibbs Adams; sister-in-law, Lillian Phillips and husband, Glenn; daughter, Eva O'Brian and husband, Scott; grandchildren, William Scott O'Brian II and wife, Rebecca and Ann Scott O'Brian; and his brothers, Bruce Christmas Adams, James Carl Adams, Quay Wyatt Adams and Michael Sowell Adams. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Sowell and Eva Christmas Adams; and by a sister, Lila Nan Adams.
