GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) ā A Greenville County woman has been stabbed to death and a man in the home injured during the struggle has been charged with murder.
Multiple media outlets reported that Greenville County sheriff's deputies were called to the home shortly before midnight Monday.
They found 48-year-old Chloe Smith of Greenville, who had been stabbed in the neck several times. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say 47-year-old John Harden Smith was charged with murder. He was wounded in his neck at the base of his neck during the struggle.
Smith was being held in the Greenville County jail without bond. It wasn't clear if he had an attorney.
Deputies say the man and woman knew each other, but did not give a motive for their fight.
