How did you get into performing for Dancing for Our Future Stars?
I’m a believer in education. I was educated in Florence public schools, at Royal, Moore and freshman year at West Florence, and when I was approached, I had to ask my wife first, but I’m happy to do it.
How did your first practice go?
It went really well. The person they paired me up with is really talented and knows what she’s doing. We were able to pick out a song that I was actually wanted to do, which is one song that I’m sure everybody will know but was not one of the choices on the list. It was a lot of fun.
What was your wife’s reaction when you told her you were dancing?
Well I asked if it was okay if I did dance, and she said, ‘Sure, of course, that would be great.’ We have a little baby, and with time and everything, I wanted to make sure we could do it. She was very supportive and said it’s a wonderful cause and agreed that I should do it.
What is your history in getting into real estate?
After finishing law school, I went into the real estate business because it was the best match for me. I love helping people buy and sell commercial and residential real estate and helping people with their real estate needs. It’s just a wonderful match for me because I am really business minded.
What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
I actually love to play music. I write music and play with my friends when I can. Also, I love to read and walk or run, spend time with my wife and our little baby, Phillip.
What genre of music do you write?
I’ve been playing music since I was a little kid when I started taking piano lessons and guitar lessons. I listen to all music, but my favorite music is rock ‘n’ roll, original music.
