• Dillon County School Districts 3 and 4 will be closed Thursday and Friday. School will resume Monday at the regular time.
  • Florence One Schools will close early Wednesday. Schools will remain closed Thursday.
  • Florence School District 2 will dismiss at noon Wednesday and cancelling all after-school activities.
  • Florence School District 3 will dismiss early Wednesday.
  • Florence School District 4 will close at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
  • Florence School District 5 will close elementary schools at 11 a.m., middle and high school at noon. Schools will remain closed Thursday and operate on a two-hour delay on Friday.
  • Florence-Darlington Technical College will close Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
  • Francis Marion University will cancel classes at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday and classes will remain cancelled for the duration of the storm. The college will announce when it will resume classes.
  • Marion County Schools will close early Wednesday. Elementary schools will dismiss at noon, middle and high schools at 1 p.m. After-school activities are cancelled.
  • Williamsburg Technical College will close at 2 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday.


  • The Florence Police Department's Annual Police Fund Golf Tournament has been rescheduled for Oct. 25 at Country Club of South Carolina with tee times set at 8:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
  • Moore Farms Botanical Garden Beer Fest has been cancelled. It will not be rescheduled.


  • Ebenezer Christian Childcare in Johnsonville will close at 1 p.m. Wednesday and remain closed Thursday.


  • Florence Regional Airport will suspend all operations Thursday. The airport will resume operations Friday weather permitting. Passengers should contact their carrier for up-to-date flight information.
  • Genesis Health Care locations and pharmacy outlets will be  closed Thursday.
