FLORENCE, S.C. – The driver who was killed early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Old River Road has been identified.

Joseph Anthony “Shane” Rogers, 25, of Florence died at the scene, Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken said Sunday.

The 1:15 a.m. crash happened when the south-bound Chevrolet Tahoe ran off the left side of the road, into a ditch and then rolled several times, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The incident is being investigated by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
