JOHNSONVILLE, S.C. – As a part of an ongoing undercover investigation, specially trained narcotics investigators with the Florence County Sheriff’s Office arrested Sammy Earl Ramu, 27, of Johnsonville on Friday.

Ramu, of 2453 Hanna Lake Road, Lot 20, Johnsonville, was charged with trafficking in heroin and distribution of methamphetamine, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

Investigators located a quantity of heroin during a search of the premises. Investigators also seized an amount of U.S. currency.

Ramu was released from the Florence County Detention Center on a $23,000.00 surety bond.
