Reba and Roofus are just two of the pets available for adoption at the Darlington County Animal Shelter operated by the Darlington County Humane Society.

Reba is a tri-colored beauty. She is front and center when you enter her group habitat and if you stand still for even a minute, she is the one who will cleverly wrap herself around your ankles hoping you will take notice of her. She is 1 to 2 years old.

Roofus is a loving boy who walks well on the leash. He has a beautiful cinnamon-colored coat. Roofus has met other dogs, both male and female, and been friendly with all. He is a hound mix, 2 to 3 years old and weighs 55 pounds.

The shelter is at 1701 Animal Control Blvd. off Highway 151, approximately one mile west of the Darlington Raceway. Shelter hours are noon to 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; noon to 7 p.m. Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Closed Wednesday and Sunday.
