HEMINGWAY, S.C. – South Carolina Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman is scheduled to attend a community meeting next week in Hemingway.

Ryan Brown, chief communications officer at the South Carolina Department of Education, said Spearman and members of the agency’s staff will speak at a community meeting on May 28 at Hemingway High School.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside the school’s gym.

Williamsburg County School District Superintendent Rose Wilder has held a series of community meetings, and the district’s public relations director, Bonnie King, said she has invited Spearman as a special guest this month.

It is unclear what Spearman will speak about, but King said, “I think that whatever questions you might have, that will definitely be answered with her being there.”

The meeting on May 28 is open to the public.
