HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- The neighborhoods between West Old Camden Road and Substation Road on along SC 151 in Hartsville are being evacuated following a two-truck crash on SC 151 northwest of Hartsville.

There were only minor injuries in the 10 a.m. crash between the two trucks, each carrying fuel, according to a release from the Darlington County Emergency Management Division.

Darlington County EMD's Molly Odom said one of the hauler's was carrying diesel fuel and that was the one that was leaking.

Because of the fuel leak the following neighborhoods are being evacuated:

  • 3509- 3802 W. Bobo Newsom Highway
  • Santee Drive to Lynches Drive
  • All of Lynches Drive
  • Kirvin Drive to Winburn Drive
  • All of Winburn Drive
  • All of Lake Robinson Circle

The Red Cross has opened a shelter at New Market Methodist Church at 1909 West Old Camden Road to accommodate displaced residents.
