Booklovers are in for a treat when the fourth annual Moveable Feast returns to Hartsville’s Burry Bookstore on Friday.

The event will feature an evening of dining, book love and complimentary beer and wine. The lineup of authors for this year’s literary event ranges from a local politician, to a singer/songwriter, to a self-proclaimed Christian mystic.

A variety of genres including romance, quirky Southern literature, history, memoir and even short story collections will be featured.

Guests at this event will get a chance to hear from each author as they move from table to table in a round of “literary speed dating.” Hidden Treasures will be catering an amazing

three-course meal and complimentary beer and wine will be served. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased both at Burry Bookstore and online at for $38.

This Moveable Feast will be held at Burry Bookstore Friday at 7 p.m., and the festivities will continue at The Rooftop Bar at The Mantissa after the event. The authors will also be available at the store Saturday, May 25, for a Meet and Greet from 12 to 2 p.m.

The Mantissa Executive Suites and Spa is the event’s presenting sponsor for the second year in a row.

Participating authors include Gina Heron, Mal Hyman, River Jordan, Rod Picott, Nicole Sarracco and Shari Smith.
