The SWAMP FOX QUILTERS GUILD monthly meeting will be held on Thursday, June 6, at 10 a.m. at the Hartsville Museum, located at 222 N. Fifth St., Hartsville.  This will be the opening of the guild’s annual challenge exhibit, “Through the Eye of the Needle.” Members are reminded of the change of time and place.




The art of great gospel music returns to Pride Park 630 S. 6th St. on Sunday, June 9, with the GOSPEL IN THE PARK SERIES. In recognition Men's Health Month, the event will feature a mini health fair, blood pressure screenings, BMI, prostate cancer information and more. A devotional service will be led by Pastor Debbie Bowen-Davis and The Agape Fellowship AME Church Family of McBee. Live gospel entertainment will be by Bobby Wilson and the Chosen Ones of Bishopville, the  Soulful Messengers of Kingstree, and national gospel recording artist Helen Miller-Best, known as The Gospel Whirlwind, singing all her hit gospel songs. The Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce’s 2019 Outlook Series continues with a HEALTHCARE FORUM on June 19 at the Butler Heritage Auditorium, 1103 S. 6th St., Hartsville from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include lunch.The session will be led by Christian Soura, vice president of policy and finance for the South Carolina Hospital Association, who will discuss the future of healathcare and how it pertains to the business community.
