HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Lady Red Foxes celebrated senior night with a straight set victory over the McBee Panthers 25-9, 25-6, and 25-14 Monday night at Hartsville High School Arena.

McCollon Garrett, McLain Hood and Caroline Warren were honored in pre-game ceremonies as the team’s trio of seniors.

Hartsville pretty much had its way with the McBee Panthers for the second time this season.

Natalie O’Neal led all scorers with 16 point, four aces, one kill, one block and two dumps. She was followed by Alize Thomas with 10 points, five aces and a dump at the net; Warren had nine points and three aces, and Hood also had nine points, two aces and three kills.

For McBee, it was almost totally single tallies in any given statistical category with rare exceptions.

Rebecca Horton had two points, both were aces. She was followed by Hanna Quick with one point, one kill and one push at the net; Beth Beasley had one point, one kill and one block; Meredith Outlaw had one point – an ace, and one kill; Emily Webster had one point – an ace, and one dump at the net; Savanah Teal had one kill; Morgan Hayes scored one point – an ace and Kayliegh Kens had one block.

Hartsville set the tone of the match when Warren served nine consecutive points with three aces and plenty of support at the night. Warren started the game with an ace and Laruen Thomas finished it in the same fashion with a service ace.

Hartsville scored in chunks – three and four points at a time in game two. While they had some attacks sail on them, they hit more than they missed. Alize Thomas led this game with six points and three aces. Hood and O’Neal had five and three kills, respectively.

McBee started the third game with a kill by Quick and its only lead of the night. It was short-lived.

O’Neal had five service points with the game tied at 4-4 with the aid of two blocks by Lauren Thomas. Hartsville continued to overpower the Panthers, eventually wearing them out for the match win.

Hartsville still has a couple of storm-related make up games to attend to before the post-season tournament.
