LAKE CITY, S.C. – Get your taste buds ready because Lake City will soon serve another “big-time event,” this time in the form of a culinary series.

Visit Lake City SC executive director Seth Kines said the team is planning to bring in Charleston Grill’s chef Michelle Weaver to partner with Crossroads on Main chef Sherif Elkhyati to serve diners a multi-course dinner during June’s Cocktails & Cuisine event at The Stables at The Inn at the Crossroads.

Kines said Weaver is a nationally renowned chef and has been the executive chef at Charleston Grill, located inside Charleston Place, for years. She and Elkhyati will create the menu for the ticketed event. Each course will be paired with wine and chefs will provide commentary to enhance the experience.

“We’re also partnering with Bourbon N’ Bubbles, which is a new trendy bar on upper King Street in Charleston,” Kines said. “They’re going to come up and do cocktail hour in the courtyard before the dinner.”

Bourbon N’ Bubbles will bring in a professional mixologist to create a special cocktail for an hour, Kines said. Following the cocktail hour, guests will enter The Stables to enjoy dinner.

Only 80 tickets will be sold for the event, and Kines expects them to sell fast.

“There will be an early bird time,” he said. “Early bird tickets will be $100 and if there are any tickets left after early bird, then they’ll be $125.”

Ticket prices will increase to $125 after May 6.

People who are interested in attending Cocktails & Cuisine can purchase tickets at visitlakecitysc.com starting April 29.

Cocktails & Cuisine will be hosted twice a year. The next one is planned for November and will feature a different guest chef.

“We want you to come to the first one, but if you’re unable to get a ticket, you’ll at least know that there’s another opportunity in the future,” Kines said.
