LAKE CITY, S.C. – ArtFields starts Friday. And in case you get hungry while browsing the work of more than 400 artists in Lake City, it is important to know where to grab a meal or snack.
Downtown is booming with restaurants, several of which have opened within the last year. Here are a few:

Snax – Snax will open Thursday at Sauls and Acline streets. The shop is set to offer a variety of gourmet ice cream flavors, plus hot dogs, sausages, chips and drinks. Indoor and outdoor dining options are available.
118 Bar & Grille – This new pop-up restaurant opened in March on East Main Street. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner in a casual atmosphere. The menu, loaded with comfort foods, includes a variety of “small bites” such as wings, cheese steaks and fries, plus sandwiches, salads, pizza and burgers, among other items.
Crossroads on Main – The restaurant reopened on April 4 inside The Inn at the Crossroads on West Main Street after undergoing renovations. Crossroads on Main is primarily a steak and chop house, but seafood, salads and soups are also served, among other foods. A bar is on site. Indoor and outdoor dining options are available. Pizza Roma – Now relocated to Sauls Street, Pizza Roma offers the same food people have grown to love such as homemade pizza, subs and salads. Search Pizza Roma on Facebook for more information.
