With liberty and justice for all: This short and ever-so-popular phrase is a reminder of a vision cast by our founding fathers as they strove to ensure life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for all the people of this nation.

This month marks the end of summer and the beginning of a new school year. Mixed emotions fill the air – sadness for summer’s end, excitement for the opportunity to buy new school supplies, eagerness to learn what classes and teachers the kids will get.

Atrial fibrillation, also called AF or A-Fib, is one of the most common irregular heart rhythms. An abnormality of the electrical system of the heart, atrial fibrillation is a rapid beating of the upper chambers of the heart, which prevents the heart from pumping blood adequately to the lower chambers.
