Liza Lauren Lucas and Salvatore John Leggio, III, both of Atlanta, were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 at Central United Methodist Church in Florence. The Rev. William Malambri officiated at the ceremony. A reception hosted by the bride's parents
followed the ceremony at the Waters Building.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Roger Jordan of Florence and Dr. and Mrs. Jay Luke Lucas of Florence. She is the granddaughter of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Carmichael Funderburk of Mullins, South Carolina and the late Mr. Benjamin Jackson Funderburk of Cheraw, South Carolina, and Mrs. Jasper Laneau Lucas and the late Mr. Lucas of Mullins, South Carolina.
The bride is also the granddaughter of Mrs. Marie Frazier Jordan of Florence and Mr. and Mrs. Maitland Soutter Chase III of Florence. She graduated from Clemson
University in Clemson, South Carolina with a degree in English and received a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York, New York. She is employed as a journalist in Atlanta, Georgia.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Salvatore John Leggio Jr. of Naples, Florida. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Salvatore John Leggio Sr. of Briarcliff Manor, New York and Mrs. Thomas Buchanan of Vienna, Virginia and the late Mr. Buchanan. He graduated from The University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida with a degree in economics and received a master's degree in global business from The Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. He is employed as a Sr. Manager of Supply Chain at Georgia-Pacific in Atlanta, Georgia.
Genevieve Mendes Weaver served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary White Finley, Katherine Pryor Fisher, Ryan Marie Kokemor, Amy Marie Lucas, Elizabeth Lucius O'Shea, Elizabeth Collins Sanders, Kristin Michelle Wedner and Frazier Jordan Wilson. Caroline Theresa Kokemor and Claire Marie Kokemor served as flower girls.
Kevin Thomas Leggio, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Brian Christopher Amick, Ryan Scott Harms, Jeremy Daniel Kokemor, Daniel Toland Kowalski, Greg Ryan Leimkuehler, Jay Luke Lucas Jr., William Jasper Lucas and Brett Richard Marsteller.
Greeters were Maureen Wright Bevin and Colleen Claire Slagen, cousins of the groom. Scripture was read by Elizabeth Riane Jones and Mark Angelo Tidwell. Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Donald James Grice and soloist Kristen Owen Hardaway.
The couple will reside in Atlanta.
