Steeplechase of Charleston, a National Steeplechase Association sanctioned event, will return to The Plantation at Stono Ferry Racetrack on Sunday, November 17, 2019. This quintessential Southern event will deliver experiential fun with horse races, tailgating, high fashion and local vendors and music – all fit for all ages. This will be the last race of the year on the national circuit.

The Steeplechase of Charleston is an annual equestrian event, dating back to 1792.  And organizers promise to help strengthen the bonds between the sport and the city that has long embraced it.

The Steeplechase of Charleston is an annual equestrian event, dating back to 1792. Produced by Evening Post Industries, the event closes out the National Steeplechase Association fall racing circuit with five races and at least $70,000 of purse money and national titles up for grabs.  A portion of proceeds will benefit the Good Cheer Fund, which helps fund seven local organizations: Association for the Blind, Carolina Youth Development Center, Catholic Charities, the Lowcountry Food Bank, Salvation Army, Star Gospel Mission and the Charleston Leadership Foundation.
