COLUMBIA, S.C. — Former Latta standout and South Carolina freshman Donell Stanley will have surgery on his injured left wrist Monday.
Stanley is expected to miss six to eight weeks and likely mean he will redshirt this season. The news was first reported by the Big Spur.
This is the second time Stanley has injured his wrist. He hurt it back in January during practice at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. That injury forced him to miss most of his basketball season.
Stanley was a four-star recruit, Shrine Bowl selection and Morning News Preseason Player of Year in 2013.
