The Lake City Country Club had its 2008 Scholarship Invitational during the last weekend of June.
Despite the rain showers, the annual event brought in more than 131 people from surrounding areas.
The purpose of the event is to provide four $1,000 scholarships to students at Lake City High School and The Carolina Academy.
At Lake City High School, Shandreka LaToya Spates who will attend Coastal Carolina University and Casey M. Wilkes who will attend the University of South Carolina received scholarships.
At The Carolina Academy, Allison Woodbury who will attend The College of Charleston and Carter Stokes who will attend Tri County TEC and then Clemson University received scholarships.
