COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) _ South Carolina Republicans have chosen a man who worked for Sen. Lindsey Graham’s successful 2002 campaign to run the party’s efforts to win in 2008.
State GOP Party Chairman Katon Dawson said Wednesday that Warren Mowry is experienced in politics and can help Republicans in local, state and federal races.
Mowry was Upstate Field Representative Graham in 2002 and was chairman of the Greenville County Republican Party for three years. He also came in third out of four candidates in a special primary election in 2005 to replace former House Speaker David Wilkins.
Republicans are naming their effort Victory 2008.
