Dear Editor:

Chris Brown has made a great success since his days of starting at age 16.
He’s thankful for the gift he has of singing. Most R&B singers try to be ‘gangsta’ when they don’t know the meaning of that word. The parents of these people should not let their kids show off in the streets and be something they’re not.
It’s very immature for these people to wear their pants below their waist and wear chains that weigh more than them. Knowing how people act in the streets, there is no telling how they act when they’re at home.
They let gang and street talk get in their heads and mess with their minds. Kids today behave badly, and they think they can get what they want but they can’t.
Some kids don’t have anything, and kids that have something want to waste it with foolishness.
They want to buy things like guns, cars, shoes and clothes to show how rich they are.
People need to pick who they talk to wisely and carefully.
Have people in your life that want to help you not harm you. When you’re hanging with the wrong people, that’s doing the wrong thing. You’re an accomplice, even if you don’t do anything. People killing people for nothing is stupid. They are just trying to show how tough they are.
My meaning of tough is doing something as hard as you can, meaning keeping up schoolwork and grades. My parents taught me that if you want respect you have to earn it and not be doing all these crazy things.
My parents also taught me that you shouldn’t throw away your life when you can make something of it.

Talk about wise beyond your years. Kambria Craig is certainly that. Your are to be commended for your thinking Kambria. I for one hope you will follow your own advice. If you do, you will go far. Best wishes.
