Veterans and their families who have questions or concerns about filling out claims for benefits or services--or who are not aware that of what benefits they may be eligible for--can attend a one-time-only workshop coming up July 19th in Darlington.
It begins at 9:00 a.m. at American Legion Post 210, at 147 Sparks Street in Darlington.
The organizers say speakers on behalf of the Governors Office of Veterans Affairs will be on hand, and everyone who wants to attend is asked to register by July 7, in case more space is needed for the event.
Interested parties can register at the following locations: Congressman John Spratt’s office at 88 Public Square, Darlington; Florence Veterans Outpatient Clinic, Carolinas Hospital Center; Veterans Affairs Office, Public Square Courthouse, 3rd floor, Darlington; and American Legion Post 210 in Darlington.
If you have any questions, you can call Roberta Balthrop at (843) 395-9385, Patricia Gattison at (843) 665-7260, or Robert Jones, Jr. at (843) 393-5012.
