An early morning car crash claimed the lives of a Marion County mother and daughter Tuesday as they were heading to school.  Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson identifies the victims as 39 year-old Jakkie Williams Parker of Marion and her 15 year-old daughter Myla Brooke Parker. Richardson said the accident involved only one car and apparently it ran off the road and struck a tree.

Trooper Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the incident happened shortly after 7:30 a.m. on Laughlin Road, just off Highway 76 near Turner’s BP station.

Both victims died at the scene.

I just want to say that my heart goes out to the Williams Family and the Parker Family. May God bless you and comfort you in this difficult time. My prayers are with both families.
