Home for boys to have annual fundraiser

The Billie Hardee Home for Boys 2008 annual barbecue fundraiser is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 25.
The food will be prepared by the Schoolhouse Bar-B-Que in Scranton, and the cost is $7 per plate.
There will be three pick-up locations: Billie Hardee Home for Boys, 1133 Timmonsville Highway, Darlington; Florence Family YMCA, 1700 Rutherford Drive, Florence; and Hartsville Family YMCA, 111 E. Carolina Ave., Hartsville. Delivery is available for purchases of 20 or more tickets.
Billie Hardee Home for Boys is a private, nonprofit residential facility for young boys referred by various agencies for treatment of psychological challenges as a result of abuse, neglect or an encounter with the criminal justice system.
