A Florence man was arrested Tuesday after police said he took more than $3,000 in items from the church that employed him, Florence Police Maj. Carlos Raines said.
Alonzo Rashad Ballard, 22, of 1418 Vince Circle is charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent with a value of more than $1,000, Florence County Detention Center bookings reports show.
The suspect, who did maintenance work for the church, took $3,300 in computers and electronics from the building sometime between April 25 and May 12, Raines said.
Ballard remains in custody at the jail in Effingham under a $3,000 surety bond.
