Florence crash leaves one person dead

A Florence woman died Tuesday morning from injuries she suffered during a traffic crash, Florence County Coroner M.G. “Bubba” Matthews said.
Asha Hamilton, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene, Matthews said.
The crash happened about 10:15 a.m. on S.C. 327 when the driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. Hamilton was a passenger in the backseat of the car and was wearing a seat belt at the time of crash, Matthews said.
The S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
