Deputies are searching for the person who stole a desposit box from a South of the Border building, then set the structure on fire, Dillon County Chief Deputy Sheriff Douglas Pernell said.
The crime happened at 2:40 a.m. at a security building at South of the Border. Someone took the desposit box filled with an undisclosed amount of money from a room before setting a fire. The room was destroyed, but the remainder of the building wasn’t, Pernell said.
No one was injured.
