The shooting happened about 8 p.m. on Hudson Street in Bennettsville. Deas was standing at one of the windows of the suspect’s car when he was shot, McNeil said.
Victoria Knight, 21, of Hamlet, N.C., was arrested Wednesday and is charged with accessory after the fact to a felony, McNeil said. She remains in custody at the Marlboro County Detention Center on a $25,000 surety bond.
