Public meeting Thursday for AVX site investigation

The public will get a chance to hear the latest Thursday on the investigation at the contaminated AVX site.  According to a press release, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control will hold two availability sessions for the public to provide the latest information on the ongoing investigation at the AVX Corporation site, located at 801 17th Avenue South, in Myrtle Beach.

The availability sessions will be held at the Myrtle Beach Fire Department’s Station #3, located at 2018 S. King’s Highway in Myrtle Beach. The first session will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. with the second session from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
