Myrtle Beach police are investigating a carjacking that happened Saturday evening.
According to an incident report, officers responded to the La Chilanguita store at 1102 3rd Avenue South around 6:30 p.m. There, two men said a pair confronted them outside the store, pulled out guns, and demanded money.
The gunmen then demanded the victims get in the backseat of the car, and put black toboggan caps on, and pull them down over their eyes.
The victims told police the suspects drove them for a short time, before stopping the car, and placing them in another vehicle.
One of the victims told police he was struck in the head with a gun during the incident.
The stolen vehicle is described as a green 1997 Ford Explorer, with South Carolina license tag number 401-UJT.
Myrtle Beach police say the truck’s information is now entered into the National Crime Information Center.
