Officers with the North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety are investigating the beating of two men inside a convenience store.
According to police, four men drove up to the Circle K store at 3301 Highway 17 South around 2:00 a.m. last Saturday. Witnesses say the group began beating two men in the parking lot.
Witnesses tell investigators the beating continued, even after one of the victims was unconscious, and according to a family member, that man is still in a coma at a local hospital.
Surveillance cameras caught two of the suspects on tape when police say they went inside the store to steal a case of beer.
According to North Myrtle Beach spokeswoman Nicole Aiello, Thursday afternoon, the two men shown on that surveillance tape came to the North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department to talk to officers about the case.
Those men do not face charges at this time, and Aiello says they are talking with detectives.
If you have any information, you are asked to call police.

The question we keep asking is why did it take over ten days for this story and photo to hit the news. Just what public servant, lawyer or politician is responsible for holding the story for so long, and why was it held? Also what happened to my two other post asking the same questions?
