Doctor charged with assaulting patients

Conway police officers arrested a North Myrtle Beach doctor on assault and battery charges of a high and aggrevated nature.
Dr. Omar Jakari faces two counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature in connection with two separate assaults.
According to a press release, the incidents date back to June, when two female victims say Jakari inappropriately touched them while being treated and made sexually explicit comments to them.
Jakari turned himself into police Wednesday morning without incident and is now released on bond.
