Myrtle Beach police investigate two armed robberies

Myrtle Beach police are investigating a pair of separate armed robberies from over the weekend.
In one incident, investigators responded to a call for an armed robbery at Willow Run Apartments at 2000 N. Greens Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to a police report, a man got out of his vehicle to walk into his apartment, when he told police he was approached by three men. Two of the suspects had guns.
The two gunmen held the victim at gunpoint while the third suspect rifled through the victim’s pockets, and got some money and a cell phone.
A witness told police the three men jumped into a silver Dodge Charger, where a fourth suspect was waiting, and the car took off.
In another incident, police responded to a call for an armed robbery outside Hangovers Bar on 9th Avenue North, at 10:15 p.m. Friday night.
According to an incident report, 3 people were walking to the club from a nearby parking lot when two men approached and tried to start a conversation.
The victims told police one of the men then pulled a gun and threatened the group, and demanded money.
The pair got away with money, car keys, two wallets, two purses, credit cards, and two out of state drivers licenses, among other things.
