A suspect in a North Carolina bank robbery is in custody after a traffic stop in Myrtle Beach.
At around 2:20 Monday morning, Myrtle Beach Police Officers stopped a car for reckless driving in the area of Seaboard Street and 10th Avenue North.
One of the officers says he noticed the passenger, 32 year old Sayfried Sinclair, Jr. of Lumberton NC, appeared nervous, and when the officers checked him for warrants they found that the Sinclair was wanted in North Carolina for a bank robbery and kidnapping.
Police say when an officer told Sinclair to step out of the car, the suspect ran.
Officers later caught up with him and took him into custody. Sinclair is charged with resisting arrest and being a fugitive from justice.
He will be extradited to North Carolina.
