A Myrtle Beach motorcycle shop is closing its doors.

Ben Brown, owner of B&M Custom Cycles said after 19 years of business, he is closing his shop.
Brown said with the economy the way that it is and Myrtle Beach city council passing 15 ordinances designed to curtail the rallies, he cannot operate.
“It’s sad, you know a lot of the people coming in are sad when they see the sign, had a lot of people come in you know, it’s bittersweet, I’m tired of fighting it, I’m tired of fighting with the city, but it’s sad, made a lot of friends over the years so a lot of people like coming here.“ said Brown.

Ben Brown said B&M Custom Cycles will close at the end of October.

It’s a shame. B&M;is where I have had my bike worked on since I moved here, and is the only honest shop, outside of Harley Davidson, (which costs a fortune), in Myrtle Beach. I have to say that the people there are the best you’ll ever find and it makes me sad to see them go. Nothing will be able to replace them. Philip is one man who is always friendly, cares about the customers, and is more than fair in every aspect of sales and service. I know I speak for many when I say that this closing will leave a void in a lot of lives in the community.

Mr. Brown,I am so sorry that yet another S.C. buisness is going to be eraticated,It looks like you could take legal action against the town ,for there ordinance is what is killing your buisness to the point of closure. I feel trhey just started a whole nother problem that they will have to account for.
