Georgetown County authorities searching for attempted murder suspect

Officials with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office say a person opened fire at two young ladies late Friday night.  Police say it happened near Yadkin Avenue and Whites Creek Rd. in the Greentown section of Georgetown County. 

Lt. Bill Pierce with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office says an eyewitness told them they heard 10 to 15 shots fired.  He says the young ladies shot at are very lucky to be unharmed.  Police are told the suspect was driving a grey Cadillac with no tail lights.  Lt. Pierce also says the suspect chased the young ladies down a few blocks.  He says the suspect is wanted for assault and battery with intent to kill.
