Fire destroys home near Aynor

A late night fire destroys a home in Western Horry County.

Firefighters were called to a home on Floyd Page Road, which is just off of S.C. Highway 501 near Aynor, just after 11:00 pm Friday night.

Horry County public information officer Todd Cartner says when firefighters arrived on the scene; heavy flames were coming from the roof of a mobile home.

Cartner says three firefighters suffered minor injuries while fighting the fire and they were taken to the hospital.

There were people inside the home when the fire started, but everyone got out and no one was hurt.

The home is a total loss and Cartner says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
