DARLINGTON – The Darlington County Economic Development Partnership (DCEDP) will be doing in-person interviews with candidates for director in the next two weeks, Interim Director Gordon McBride said Wednesday.
The partnership held its monthly meeting Wednesday at noon at the Darlington Country Club.
McBride said the selection committee has narrowed its choices to five or six applicants and will be interviewing those applicants in person probably next week. The committee is planning to interview all candidates in one day, according to McBride.
After the interviews, McBride said the selection committee will have one or two public events that will allow county residents, as well as council members and other citizens to meet the potential directors and ask any questions they may have.
Those events will be scheduled at a later date.
The DCEDP meets every third Wednesday of the month. They will meet again on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at 12 p.m. at the Darlington Country Club.
