CLEMSON — Eddie Owens of Hemingway, a finance major at Clemson University, was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma International Honor Society. The Carvers Bay High School Graduate is a son of Sherold and Karen Owens of the Pleasant Hill community.

To be eligible for membership, a student must rank in the upper 7 percent of the junior class, upper 10 percent of the senior class or upper 20 percent of the master’s class. Members are elected to membership and publicly recognized during the spring term. He was inducted at an April 5 ceremony.

Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student can receive in a business program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International.
