Watson Parker Jr. of Kingstree, 81, died Sunday, Dec.14, 2008, in a Florence hospital after an illness.
A funeral was Tuesday, Dec. 16, in First Assembly of God in Kingstree. Burial followed in the Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God, 872 Sumter Highway, Kingstree, 29556.
Born in Williamsburg County on May 7, 1927, Mr. Parker was the son of the late Watson Parker and the late Rochester P. Parker, and was a widower of the late Shirley Rutha Lee Parker. Mr. Parker was a member of the First Assembly of God in Kingstree and retired from Drexel Furniture.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennell Lee of Scranton and Gwen Hendry (Thomas) of Rock Hill; two sons, Mike Parker (Tonya) of Montgomery, Texas and Reggie Parker of Kingstree; a sister, Vernette Coker of Goose Creek; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
