The Rev. Harold “Toby” Eaddy
JOHNSONVILLE - The Rev. Harold “Toby” Eaddy, 81, died Monday August 25, 2008 in a Florence hospital.
The Rev. Eaddy was born in Johnsonville, a son of the late Marry Elizabeth “Molly” Eaddy Powerll. He was a retired minister, having served churches such as Community Free Will Baptist Church, Awendaw Pentecostal Holiness Church, Cross Pentecostal Holiness Church, Cordova Pentecostal Holiness Church, Aynor Pentecostal Holiness Church and Freemont Pentecostal Holiness Church. Prior to becoming a full time minister, he was an active member of the Johnsonville Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was an active deacon and Sunday School teacher.
He was married to the late Lila Ruth Eaddy and was predeceased by a daughter marilyn E. Cox. Surviving are his daughter, Carolyn E. (Mike) Taylor of Johnsonville,; grandchildren, Casey (Abby) Taylor, Shellie (Brandon) Aland, Amanda Cox Hunt; great-grandchildren, Paden Taylor, Brooke Aland and John Walker Hunt and Anderson Hunt; sister, Lucille Carter of Gadsden.
Memorial services were held Wednesday August 27, 2008 in the Johnsonville Pentecostal Holiness Church, directed by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway.
